Monday 11.28.05 - Turkey Time

Oh.  So much to be thankful for!  We had a great weekend in the OC with the grand-parental and great-grand-parental units.  We ate lots of food (it was like we made up for lost time when we were down and out with the flu) and got to see lots of family.  Laura started walking, with some coaching and practice with Grandma Laurie.  Ginger got to try out her new Doggles, check that out here.  All that and the holiday traffic wasn't too miserable.  In fact, yesterday was so clear on the drive home we could see the Hollywood sign from the 405 freeway.  Cool.

I am in full Mom mode now.  I have almost all of my Christmas shopping done (I rule! - r.u.l.e.) and most of the gifts wrapped and ready to go.  I am so excited to send out my first holiday cards - I have quite a trick up my sleeve for that one.  My life will be smooth once the new baby gate gets here so I can put the red and green Rubbermaid  makeshift barriers back in the garage.  I am so going to break my neck on those things.

It seems the rainy season has arrived in NOR*CAL.  Hopefully it will wash some of the tree droppings off my car, but not likely.  That's about it on this end.  Not as many photos from the weekend as I had hoped, but enjoy.

Sunday 11.20.05 - The Biscuit off to a Slow Start

Well, I was hoping to have tons of stuff to put on since last post but many of our plans were foiled.  First we wanted to go beach camping, but didn't realize until we were at the overcrowded site that it was Veteran's Day weekend and everyone and their second cousin were camping.  So we turned right around, came home and did chores.  This consisted of organizing all my bins of Christmas decorations (13 bins to be exact).  Throwing out lights that don't light, broken stuff and just reorganizing the poor packing job we did when we left Beantown.  Boy, I got some major work done and whittled that down to 9 bins.  And I managed to buy Laura a pink tree for her room so I will probably need another bin when the holidays are over.  Now, these glorious red and green Rubbermaid monsters are the current barrier between where Laura can and can't play.  It's like a freaking obstacle course.

Then, we expected to make up for it this weekend and all had the flu.  I don't know what the bird flu that W is so concerned about is, but we didn't sprout any feathers so I assume we are safe.  If you can call exploding innards safe.  So, in order to put something up here, I talked Bob into taking a walk to the park so we could snap a few shots.  There is a new "Archives" section off the Media page where I will put old stuff.  There you will also find another collection of not-so-popular photos you may or may not want to check out.  I hope to have many more interesting things to post after the holiday.

Wednesday, 11.09.05 - Return of the Biscuit

Ah yes, it has been some time. But I’M BACK, BABY! Jasper's Biscuit is once again in full force.  Now back in the day, Bob was the keeper of the website. Times change and now

he is the breadwinner.  Due to the fact I spend most my days taking pictures and farting around on the computer anyway, I thought should get the biscuit up and running again.  So now I have the title of Mommy/Web Designer.  I still only get paid for being the Mommy. Oh, wait.  I don't get paid for that either. Crap.

In a former life I was an educator, so I am taking a hands on approach to learning how to “web design” (read as: to lazy to read how to do stuff) so please bear with me as I fumble around here!
