The Short Story

Bob and I met in high school and married in June 1998. While dating, we found our master, Jasper the pug.  In 1998 while on a walk, we acquired another dog, Rookie.  Our honeymoon consisted of driving across country with our friends, Terry and Bailey, to Massachusetts.  From 1998-2004 we lived in Malden while Bob attended MIT and I taught 8th grade science in Dorchester.  While in the east, we made many good friends and discovered scuba diving (oh good gravy the photos we have from diving in Hawaii).  Most of our non-freezing days were spent diving for bugs and consuming with gusto our bounty from the sea.  Most of the remainder of time we would hang out with our friends, usually drinking from ye olde kegerrator.  Bob finished school and started looking for a job in Cali.  Before we left we figured we needed just one more dog, a mastiff named Ginger.  Finally in May 2004 we moved back to California.

After some searching and long term living in the Residence Inn, we found a condo and bought it.  One Sunday night in December (our first night of condo ownership) we decided to paint our bedroom blue before the movers came with all our crap on Monday.  Monday night I went to the hospital to be induced.  Laura June was born the next day.

Now that we have a grasp on our lives (HA HA HA) we spend our free time camping or going to Orange County (yeah yeah, the OC) to visit the parental units.  We hope to get back into scuba out here and maybe taste some lobster again.

Sadly, we had to say goodbye to our master over summer, but his memory will live on forever.  We always joked about starting a band or getting a big yacht and calling it “Jasper’s Biscuit”.  I guess we will have to start small with the website.

I recently discovered the world of “Mommy Blogs” and I am not putting myself into that category just yet, as I need to get some skillz first.  Most of this site is a way for me to organize the pictures I take of Laura and the rest of the family.
